I'm at UMBC, where I'm giving at talk at a conference on the Frontiers of Multicore Computing http://www.mc2.umbc.edu/frontiers.html on how we've been using new multicore CPU's from IBM and Intel in the creation of The Scalable City http://scalablecity.net/ project. Multicore computing has allowed this project to come to fruition, in a way that I counted on at the outset, but didn't actually realize the solution would come from this manner of complying with Moore's Law.
